Pictures, Movies, and more at the Reunion…

Great news – we have a plan to collect pictures, articles, and other printed items at the reunion. Former Marshall-U Physics teacher Bill L'Herault has agreed to help us put together a slide show/multi media presentation for the event.

If you have the resources to scan your own photos, newspapers, or other printed materials we encourage you to do so. Please read these guidelines that will make things better.

-- To send by email: the scan’s resolution should be 200 dpi in JPEG format. This creates a good balance of quality and reasonable file size. Email to slideshow.marshall.u@gmail.com
-- If you can put the scanned images onto a CD, DVD, or flash drive we suggest a higher quality JPEG scan at 300 dpi. Please send the disks/drives to Charles Spolyar (address below) and we will return them to you at the reunion.

If you don't have the ability (or interest) to scan your items we may be able to help out. We will need to borrow your items for a while but they will be returned.

For movies or video tape we do have some ability to convert those to digital format. Please contact Charles Spolyar about arrangements.

For Slides it's easiest to have those scanned into digital format at National Camera (about 45 cents/slide) and then forward the digital document to: slideshow.marshall.u@gmail.com

Other items like trophies, uniforms, lockers (yes, we know of at least one alum who has these!) and who knows what else... and other items too difficult to bring -- please create digital photos and email.

A few more notes:
Before you spend time trying to scan a yearbook please contact us. We may have your year(s) already scanned (or have a copy available).

We will try to use as much material as possible. However, due to time, space and other limits we cannot guarantee that everything submitted will be used. Every effort will be made to make all the media donated available on CDs or DVDs after the reunion (sort of like the "director's cut" of a movie). Thank you in advance for your help!
